Japanese food

Today it was time for a Japanese dinner. Shabu tei. I have never heard about that, but those in Los Angeles and Manila know what it is. I guess I live far away from culinaristic civilization. As usual, Japanese way of cutting and setting up the food is beatiful. At first, I ate raw vegetables for a starter, then vegetables, sea food and meat were brought on separate plates.

The food items were dropped into a boiling water on a gas stove, and once cooked for few minutes, picked by the ladle. Eaten by Japanese sauces and rice, along with green tea. Hot steaming liquid sounds like something fun to do when it is really cold winter! Maybe next winter it is Shabu tei time for dinner.

Desert: nicely cut fruits. Enjoy the pictures!
